I think the picture of Marilyn lifting weights is really cool. I think it disproves the myth, which aspects of our culture perpetuate, that weithlifting should be the sole reserve of men. Strength and fitness are ascessible to everybody if you have the right mindset and are willing to push your body. I have heard many female friends say that they don’t want to lift weights because they think it will make them bulk up and thereby lose their femininity. But lifting weights need not do that. Look at marilyn! She looks incredible. Weights can tone and strengthen. If anything, they can make a women look more beautiful. The above picture proves it.
